Dyshidrotic Eczema
I'm sorry for being absent so long. I really am.
Life got me down. It was busy.
We had CutiePie's 5th Birthday Party this month. It was ok. We invited a bunch of kids from his Class but only 2 showed up. The rest of the Kids were neighbors. Here's my Issue. Why can nobody call to tell you they're not coming? Do they not think a 5 year old gets upset and disappointed that nobody showed up? Assholes. That's all I can say.
Now, the thing that's getting me down.
We took CutiePie to a Dermatologist, finally.
We got a Diagnosis but no Cure or Remedy that really works.
Dyshidrotic Eczema
Go ahead, click on it. It sucks. I feel guilty as a Mom. I feel like I have failed him.
We got a Prescription but nothing helps. It gets so bad he can barely walk. I cry.
As a Mom I don't wanna see my child suffer. My heart breaks everytime I see him
limping around. In June we will go in for a Biopsy to rule out some other stuff. I will
be prepared. I have a long list of questions. How can we prevent it and treat it better.
We need to know. I'm tired of having to pop huge bubbles on my sons feet. It hurts him.
I want the suffering to stop.
I've been struggling since we found out. Especially since it only gets worse. Never better.
Just worse. If any of you know anything that might help mail me. I would greatly appreciate it.

2 Talk to Me:
I'm sorry to hear that your son has the eczema..
My husband has eczema too, not the same kind, tho.
Did you ever try dead sea salt in his bathwater?
There is also a bath additive from aveeno called soothing bath treatment.
Another shot would be giving him aloe vera-juice to drink, if he drinks it...
You could try aloe extract as a lotion, but it gotta be 100% pure, otherwise it's wasted money.
Find out if certain foods trigger it and avoid them. There is a laundry detergent for babies called "Dreft" for extra sensible skin without all the chemicals, etc.
Of course check with your doctor before you do anything!
You can't cure it, but you are not helpless!!!
You have a long road ahead of you, till you find out what helps him and what not..
Good luck!

Hi Alexandra!
Walter had Eczema when he was about that age on his feet. I did pretty much what the lady above suggested. I do prefer aloe fresh from an aloe vera plant. Also I made sure he only wore cotton sox and leather shoes or sandals. He grew out of it in a couple of years and never had Eczema again. Kids get lots of things and most often grow out it.
